U N I T Y A R T P R O J E C T
In November 2020, I organised collaborative art project called the Unity Art Project.
I initiated the project after seeing the level of need amongst the young people I was working with increase due to the pandemic. The aim of the project was to raise funds for the Trussell Trust network of food banks.
I asked 23 artists from across the UK to respond and ‘finish’ an edition of silk screen text pieces that I made, in the context of the pandemic. The brief was completely open. Each work had the same starting point, but each artist brought their own style and response to the print, making each collaborative art work unique.
The project culminated in a virtual exhibition and online auction, raising over £3K for the Trussell Trust network of food banks in May 2021.
